2019: Year Three

Having focused on the Downtown area the first two years, our team gave great consideration to an often overlooked reality of the San Jose suburban sprawl experience...what about all the residents who don’t go downtown? How do we reach them?

Once we learned that the South San Jose district only had one mural, we knew what we needed to do. We stepped out of our comfort zone and into an often overlooked community. Partnering with the area’s Councilmember Sergio Jimenez, we brought 9 murals to the district including a Skate Park, Community Center, and other neighborhood hubs. Along the way, we also revisited other parts of the city we love, adding murals to Japantown and the Washington neighborhood.
